3.9.1 - Move SIM
Note:
SIM Move is only available in Account context.
CMP Enterprise Portal allows Users to move SIM Cards between (Parent) Accounts with no or minimal service interruptions. This feature supports business processes such as
- Incorrect SIM assignment to an Account,
- Move of SIMs from Demo Accounts to Commercial Accounts,
- Customer acquisitions or mergers, and
- Customer splits/spin-offs.
Generally, SIM Cards can only be moved between active Accounts; however, Users are also able to move SIM Cards from suspended Accounts to active Accounts.
3.9.2 - How to Move a SIM
To change the SIM Account:
- Select one or more SIM Cards from the SIM Grid.
- Click on the Change Account
icon in the Object Functions Menu.
- Select the Target Company.
Note: In the case of an Account User, the Company of the current Account is preselected. - Select the Target Account.
Note: Only Accounts created under the selected Target Company are available for selection in the dropdown list. - Click Next.
- Specify the Target Configuration of Price Plan, APN Group, and Service Profile.
Note: Only resources available for the selected Account are available for selection. When SIM Cards are moved to a new Account, they are moved with the same Billing Status as what they had at their old Account. - Click Save to confirm the SIM Move.
The SIM Move is completed immediately, which means that the SIM Cards are moved to the new Account instantly. All charges generated for the SIM Card up to the SIM Move are charged against the Source (old) Account and in the Target Account the new Subscription is created, activation charges are suppressed.
If the SIM is moved out of an Account on the same day that it is assigned to the Account, the old Account subscription will be deleted and there will be no charges against the old Account.
