Control every IoT SIM from your own systems
One REST API for SIMs on 750+ networks.
Manual SIM admin stops working once your fleet grows
When a fleet grows past a few hundred devices, managing SIMs by hand in a portal stops working. Activations wait for someone to log in. A device that starts burning data runs all weekend before anyone notices. And your own platform never quite knows what the network knows.
The Com4 IoT API puts SIM control where your team already works. It works alongside Polaris CMP: the portal gives your team visibility, and the API automates the repeat work.
SIM lifecycle
Register, activate, suspend, reactivate and deactivate SIMs programmatically, without anyone logging in to a portal.
Usage monitoring
Real-time data usage per SIM or across the whole account, plus historical data sessions for troubleshooting.
Service profiles
Assign and change data limits, network access and plans per SIM or per device type.
Roaming control
Read and manage roaming profiles per account, so global fleets stay cost-effective and connected.
Private APN
Configure or check a private APN on each SIM to keep sensitive device traffic off the public internet.
Built to scale
Endpoints designed for bulk work, so the same integration handles hundreds of SIMs or millions.

Built for production fleets
- Standard REST over HTTPS. Works with any language that can make an HTTP request: Python, Java, C#, Node.js, Go and more.
- Secure by default. Server-to-server authentication with the OpenID Connect client credentials flow.
- One SIM, many networks. Every call controls a non-steered SIM with access to 750+ networks, on traditional SIM, eUICC and SGP.32.
- Your own mobile core. Com4 runs its own mobile core with its own PLMN code, now based on Nokia 5G SA, which gives full control over the service behind every API call.
Core endpoints
Example endpoint structures. Always check the API documentation for current definitions and parameters.

GET /sim-cards/{simId}/data-usage Usage for one SIM
GET /sim-cards/{simId}/data-sessions Historical data sessions
Profiles and security
PUT /sim-cards/{simId}/service-profile Set data limits and network access
PUT /sim-cards/{simId}/private-apn Put a SIM on a private APN
GET /accounts/{accountId}/roaming-profiles Manage roaming profiles
What teams automate first
1. Zero-touch onboarding. Your production line registers and activates SIMs the moment a device passes final test.
2. Cost guardrails. Your backend polls usage and suspends a SIM that crosses a threshold, before the invoice surprises you.
3. Customer self-service. OEMs show SIM status and usage inside their own customer portal.
4. Secure segments. Devices that handle sensitive data move onto a private APN automatically.
Get started in four steps
Request API access and receive your client ID and secret. Read the API documentation. Build and test against your own SIMs, or order the free test kit. Go live, with Com4 support behind you.

Questions about the Com4 IoT API
Does Com4 offer a REST API for IoT SIM management?
Yes. The Com4 IoT API is a RESTful API for SIM lifecycle management, real-time usage monitoring, service profiles, roaming profiles and private APN setup.
How do I authenticate with the Com4 API?
With the OpenID Connect client credentials flow. You exchange a client ID and secret for an access token, then use the token on each request.
Can I activate and suspend SIMs in bulk?
Yes. The API is built for fleet-scale work, and bulk operations are covered in the documentation.
Is the API the same as the Polaris CMP portal?
They work together. Teams typically use Polaris CMP for day-to-day visibility and the API to automate repeat tasks inside their own systems.
Which programming languages can I use?
Any language that can make standard HTTP requests, including Python, Java, C#, Node.js, Ruby, PHP and Go.
Does the API support webhooks, and what are the rate limits?
See the API documentation, or contact Com4 support for the current details for your account.
