Multi-network IoT SIMs for Europe

One IoT SIM for all of Europe

Non-steered, with several networks in every country.

Multi-network IoT SIMs for Europe

Most roaming IoT SIMs in Europe are steered: they are pushed to the partner network of one home operator, even when a stronger network is right there. The result is dead zones, slow registration and devices that fail in exactly the places you did not test.

Com4 IoT SIM cards are non-steered and carrier-agnostic. A device attaches to the strongest available network wherever it is, with several operators per country to choose from. You ship one SKU to every European market and manage it all in Polaris CMP.

Why choose a Com4 multi-network SIM over a roaming SIM?

Built for long-lived fleets of smart meters and EV chargers, trackers and connected medical devices across Europe.

Global connectivity

Strongest network wins

Non-steered SIMs are not locked to one home operator's partners. Devices attach to the strongest network available, with several operators per country, such as 4 in Finland and 3 in Slovakia.

IoT SIM Card

Change operator over the air

With eUICC and SGP.32, a new operator profile is downloaded remotely instead of swapping SIMs in the field.

Monitoring

Ready for network sunsets

2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE-M and NB-IoT on one profile, plus a 2G and 3G shutdown tracker by country and network.

Control

Permanent roaming handled

Rules differ across Europe, even inside the EU. Com4 can advise on the rules in each market before you deploy, and you manage every SIM in one platform.

eSIM pioneers in Europe

Com4 was the first IoT operator in Europe to offer GSMA-compliant eUICC subscription management, and ran Europe’s first successful IoT SIM profile swap.

Today our SIMs are SGP.32 ready, so you can switch operator over the air for the whole life of your devices. Choose industrial plastic SIMs, high-tolerance SIMs or embedded MFF2 for harsh environments.

Questions about multi-network SIMs in Europe

What is a multi-network IoT SIM?

A SIM that can connect to several mobile operators in each country instead of just one. If one network is weak or down, the device can use another.

What does non-steered mean?

The SIM is not forced onto one preferred partner network. The device picks the strongest available network.

Is permanent roaming allowed for IoT in the EU?

It depends on the country. Some require IoT SIM registration, some exempt machine-only SIMs, and a few restrict permanent roaming. Check per market before you deploy.

Can I change operator without replacing the SIM?

Yes, with eUICC or SGP.32 SIMs. A new operator profile is downloaded over the air.
